Mia was a small, white cat with big green eyes. She loved to play in the garden every day. But one morning, Mia woke up and saw something strange—her tail was missing!
“Oh no!” Mia said. “Where is my tail?”
She looked under the bed, behind the door, and inside the box, but her tail was nowhere to be found.
Mia decided to find her tail. She went outside and asked her friends.
First, she met Benny the dog. “Benny, have you seen my tail?” Mia asked.
Benny wagged his tail. “No, Mia. But I will help you find it!”
Next, Mia met Lucy the bird. “Lucy, have you seen my tail?”
Lucy flew up and looked around. “No, Mia. But I will look from the sky.”
Mia and her friends searched all day. They looked near the trees, inside the bushes, and by the river.
Suddenly, Mia heard a noise—a soft “meow” near the old tree.
She ran quickly and saw a little kitten playing with a fluffy white tail!
“Is this my tail?” Mia asked.
The kitten stopped and smiled. “No, Mia. This is my toy. I found it and wanted to play.”
Mia laughed. “Oh! I’m sorry. I was very worried.”
Just then, Mia looked down and saw her own tail, right behind her! She had forgotten that she was sitting on it.
Mia smiled. “My tail was with me all the time!”
Benny and Lucy laughed too.
Mia was happy to have her tail back. And she learned to look carefully before she worries.
