The Invisible Chair

Sam is a student. He is lazy, but he is funny.
One day, he comes late to class.

The teacher says, “Sam! Why are you late again?”

Sam smiles and says, “Sir, I had a problem at home. My… my cat was sad, so I gave her tea.”

The class laughs. The teacher rolls his eyes.
“Sit down, Sam,” he says.

Sam walks to his seat… but there is no chair!

“Where is my chair?” Sam asks.

His friend Tom says, “You were late. So the teacher took it.”

Sam looks at the floor. Then he smiles.
“It’s okay. I will sit on my invisible chair!”

Sam pretends to sit on a chair, but there is nothing under him.
He slowly goes down, holding his arms out like he is sitting.

“Ahh, very comfortable!” Sam says.

The whole class starts laughing.

But Sam can’t sit like that for long.
His legs shake…
His eyes are big…
Then—boom! He falls on the floor!

“Ouch! My invisible chair is broken!” he shouts.

Even the teacher starts laughing.

The teacher says, “Sam, next time, come on time… and bring a new invisible chair!”

Moral: Don’t be late… unless you’re ready to fall!
